He just got here and left again.

Well, I've packed Hubby off to Alaska for three weeks. Didn't he just get here? I just as well move home for all I see of him. Anyway, not wanting to be a total bitch, but I hate people today. Everyone I've had contact with has annoyed me in one way or another. Especially men. It must be the full moon, I'm usually so pleasant to be around.

I got stuck watching a kid for a mom I thought was going to work, but she just needed a break and went to the beach for 3 hours. Like I never need a break from the fighting, screaming, breaking, spilling, and general mayhem children cause. Suck it up, sweetie, you married a Marine, he's been gone all of 3 days, maybe you should have thought about this before you decided you wanted his kids? If she had said she wanted to get away it wouldn't have bugged as much, it's the deception that bugs me, and the fact that i told her when she called I was having a bad knee day and could hardly get off the chair. I am not here to take your kid at the drop of a hat for you to go party. That's why I hardly ever go out anymore, sitters are expensive, and I don't mind helping in a pinch so you can work, but if your running around you're damn sure gonna pay me next time.

Holy diatribe, Batman, could I be any meaner? I've just seen and done this shit so many times before, and I'm fed up with it. Why can't I seem to meet adult friends that aren't alcoholics, users, or shits? I know they have to exist out there somewhere.

In other news, my knee hurts. I took a week off therapy with an unexpected case of strep, and while I was sick I neglected to do my exercises. I paid for it today. I can hardly get out of my chair. I still have to get up the stairs to bed. I'm screwed. Looks like a night on the couch for me.

Also, huskies when seen through a window in the dark look remarkably like wolves. I think I was totally justified in waking the house by screaming my head off when it jumped on the window next to me while I was typing. Just sayin'.

Sorry for the long time gone y'all! The hard drive on my laptop got FRIED (I suspect two rambuncious minions might be to blame). So first there was the wait to see if it could be recovered (nope) then the wait for a new computer to be shipped. Of course the old one was 6 months out of warranty, so no help there, but thanks to a rare moment of generosity form my MIL I'm typing on a new Dell desktop. Not much else new here, but the lack of computer did help improve my knitting output. I have my Hurricane pal's sock finished and am just waiting on yarn to finish my Harry Potter house scarf. I'm also working on pair 2 of the Dragon socks. Pics coming as soon as i figure out how to hook my camera to my computer.

By the way, I've lost all my old bookmarked stuff, so if you happen to remember anywhere i told you a shopped or whatever, please let me know. It appears I have the memory of a goldfish!
